A kitchen is more than just stunning custom kitchen cabinets. Here are some gorgeous tips to help you remodel your kitchen.

Think about where you use the kitchen items. For example, you can store breakfast bowls and foods near the breakfast table. You can keep plastic containers and wraps near a work surface for wrapping leftovers. Locate the tableware near the dishwasher for easy unloading. These tips might come in handy for a functional and easy life in the kitchen.

Paths throughout a kitchen should be at least 30 inches wide. For a one-cook kitchen, the space within the cooking zone can be 40 inches wide, and for a two-cook configuration, it can be increased to 45 inches. Make sure you brief your designers to adjust kitchen islands and peninsulas accordingly.

If you have toddlers who often run through the kitchen, you should go with kid-friendly kitchen designs. Keep the cooking spot out of traffic areas so that kids don’t catch handles and cause spills. Also, you can make the refrigerator accessible.

Depending on the chef and the degree of kid-friendliness you desire in the kitchen, the place to fit a microwave can be designed. For adults, 13-15 inches above countertop level is a good height, but for kids, a lower level setup might be suitable and safer.

Keep in mind the space for the door’s clearance and swing direction if you are planning to design custom kitchen cabinets. Keep the appliances away from corners, and ensure that the doors won’t bang into each other if opened simultaneously.

You need to plan it carefully. If you love cooking and eating on kitchen islands, plan enough space so that the cooking space is safely separated from the dining area.

Landing space is important on each side of a cooktop and refrigerator. It is important to have some space near the microwave as well.

An ideal space is a must between the range and sink. You will definitely understand this if you cook frequently. You can also incorporate two different countertop heights. It will make it easy for the kids who love to bake or prepare meals.

Doubling up the range is a brilliant idea to keep people (guests or family members) out of the cook’s way. You can position a mini-refrigerator or second microwave oven at the edge of the kitchen work center.

You can place a shelf behind the range to keep utensils, cooking oils, and spices handy. Another creative idea is to hang stylish hooks on the side of the range hood to hang pans and pots that you frequently use.

Install a pot filter near the cooktop. You can also install an extra-long hose attachment on your main faucet to fill pots on the cooktop.

While remodeling your kitchen, make sure you have a safe spot for storing knives. Plan a spot that is out of children’s reach. Also, ensure that it is spacious enough to organize different knives and other sharp objects.

Gone are the days when people used to put all the trash in one can. Since you are remodeling your kitchen, equip separate cabinets or at least containers for glass, metal, plastic, and kitchen waste.

Store your kids’ favorite dishes and snacks on shelves they can reach.

Install multiple outlets on the island and along with the backsplash so you will have the power you need it. Multiple plugs will make it easier to use more than one appliance at the same time.

Besides the tips mentioned above, you can add a message center in the kitchen, use light colors on the walls, break up your kitchen space into small cabinets, and more.

Remodeling your kitchen can be a daunting task, so it is beneficial to hire kitchen remodeling contractors to help you spruce up your kitchen.
